Emergency Pricing
How Much Does Emergency Tree Removal Cost?
When a tree falls on your house or blocks your driveway, standard pricing goes out the window. Here is what to expect for 24/7 urgent service.
Emergency tree removal is distinct from standard removal because it requires immediate mobilization of a crew, often during storms, holidays, or nights. This convenience and risk carry a premium.
The "Emergency Premium"
Expect to pay 2x to 3x the standard rate for emergency call-outs.
- Hourly Rates: Can jump from $150/hr to $450/hr per crew member.
- Minimum Call-out Fee: Most companies charge $250 - $500 just to show up.
- Hazard Pay: Working on unstable, fallen trees is incredibly dangerous, requiring higher insurance coverage.
Scenario Est. Cost Range
Tree on House / Roof $2,000 - $5,000+
Blocking Driveway $1,000 - $2,500
Leaning Dangerously $1,500 - $3,500
Does Insurance Cover This?
This is the most common question we get.
- Tree on Structure (House/Garage): YES. Homeowners insurance usually covers removal of the tree off the structure to prevent further damage.
- Tree on Lawn (No Damage): NO. If a tree falls on your grass but hits nothing, you pay out of pocket.
- Preventative Removal: NO. Insurance does not pay to cut down a rotting tree *before* it falls. That is considered maintenance.
Safety Warning: Do not attempt to move a storm-damaged tree yourself. "Spring poles" (branches under tension) can snap back with enough force to kill. Wait for the pros.
